Fish Parcels

This is by far the easiest way there is to cook fish. You can make these tasty parcels as big or small as you like, using a range of veggies or fish available to you.

What you will need to serve 4:

  • 4 fish fillets
  • 2.5cm piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, skinned and finely chopped
  • 1 medium red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
  • juice of a large lime
  • 4-6 tbsp tamari sauce or soy
  • 200g mange tout
  • 200g tenderstem broccoli (or feel free to use whichever veggies you like!)


Pre-heat you oven to 180 degree celcius/ 350 degree F/gas mark 4 or get that campfire cranking!

Lay each fish fillet on a piece of tin foil. Spread the ginger, garlic, chilli and lime juice all over.

Lay the vegetables (broccoli and mangetout) evenly over the fish, then pour the tamari or soy sauce over the top.

Now simply gather the edges of the foil and seal them together to make a package. Make sure you allow enough steaming space at the top of your parcel so they cook nicely.

Put the fish parcels in a baking tin and cook in the oven for 15-25 mins.

Check to see if its cooked after 15 mins, if in doubt steam for another 5 mins.

Serve up with a bed of stir-fried vegetables, rice or noodles. Simply delicious!
