Archie Worsfold

My name is Archie, I’m 11 years old. I like playing football, computer games, having Nerf battles, building dens and playing outside.

What has been your journey so far?   

On my 8th birthday I felt ill and had to go to hospital where I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I have been having treatment for the past 3 1/2 years.

What have been the biggest obstacles you have encountered? 

Not being able to do all the normal things whilst I’ve been ill. I’ve missed my friends and not being able to play outside.

Who inspired you to find courage and determination in the tough times?   

I just wanted to get back to doing all the things I was doing before I was ill. I used this to help me look forward and to get through the tough times.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you so far?   

Don't take anything for granted.

What is your dream adventure? 

To go exploring, build camp fires and go wild camping in an old pine forest.
