Bear Grylls is the Chief Scout to the Scout Association and figurehead to 28 million Scouts around the world. When asked why he chose to volunteer for the UK’s largest mixed youth movement, Bear said: ‘In short, because I love adventure and I love hanging out with good friends. As a course, Alpha attracts a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints. GLOBAL ANGELS
Bear has been a Global Angels Ambassador since 2006 and has raised over $1 million for children in Africa though his adventures, for Global Angels projects in Africa. HOPE & HOMES FOR CHILDREN
Hope and Homes for Children is an international children’s charity working with orphaned and abandoned children in Eastern Europe and Africa. Since 1994 they have helped to secure the lives, and future livelihoods, of more than 7,500 orphaned or abandoned children in 14 countries. “Bear knows the importance of a family.
